vigintile
Any of the values in a series that divides the distribution of individuals in that series into twenty groups of equal frequency.
Any one of the twenty groups so divided.
We categorised income into vigintiles by sex and cohort. […] In addition, we estimated the absolute income level of each vigintile by adjusting for inflation using the consumer price index with 2020 as the index year, and by calculating the within-vigintile mean income.
Where it comes from
From Latin vīgintī (“twenty”) + -ilis (adjective-forming suffix), equivalent to viginti- + -ile.
